Create Chocolate Art & Edible Art in Spring Workshops

This month, the spotlight shines on two tasty workshops: Chocolate Art and Edible Art.

• Professional chefs use modeling chocolate to create edible decorations that can be molded, shaped, cut, tied, and painted, much like clay. In the workshop Chocolate Art (ages 10–12), students make 3-D art using chocolate dough and then display their showpieces during the final class meeting. (4 sessions)

• In the workshop Edible Art (ages 14–18), students create unique works of art using pastillage. After learning to make this sugar-based dough, they roll out and cut their shapes, and sand and paint their pieces. During the final class meeting, students construct and assemble their creations for display. (4 sessions)
