Spring House and Gardens Days

Saturday & Sunday, March 16 & 17, 2013
at Bayou Bend and Rienzi

The two MFAH house museums—Bayou Bend and Rienzi—invite adult garden enthusiasts to Spring House and Gardens Days. Held the weekend after River Oaks Garden Club’s annual Azalea Trail, this gardening extravaganza showcases the flora and fauna that populate the celebrated gardens of both mansions.

Hours 
Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

• Open house tours of the home and collection, hosted by docents

Events and Programs at Bayou Bend
• Open house tours of the home and collection, hosted by docents
• Guided tours of the gardens start every 20 minutes between 10 a.m. and 3:45 p.m.
• Experts and specialists on hand to share advice and tips on growing and maintaining your own gardens
• Light refreshments (cookies and lemonade)

Davey Tree (tree care and removal) 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Butterfly Garden
McDougald Steele (landscape design) 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. East Garden
The Bee Wrangler (using bees to help your garden) 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Euterpe Garden
Sunday, March 17
The Growing Company (soil care) 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Butterfly Garden
McDougald Steele (landscape design) 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. East Garden
Texas Snakes and Reptiles (herpetological management) 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Euterpe Garden

Admission $15 (admission price is the same for all ages)
($2.50 discount for MFAH Members)

Parking
Free parking is available at Bayou Bend: use the entrance at Memorial Drive and Westcott Street.
A complimentary shuttle runs between Rienzi and Bayou Bend.

Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens is located at 6003 Memorial Drive.
