Group Visits and Tours

The MFAH offers tours and packages to groups of 10 or more for the museum’s collections and select exhibitions. For information, call 713.639.7878.

Group Visits

For a discounted group rate, reservations are required two weeks in advance and payments must be received a minimum of 24 hours prior to your visit.

Group admission: $10 per person. Senior and youth groups receive an additional discount: $6 per person for senior groups (65+) and $4 per person for youth groups (6-18). School group visits are coordinated through the museum's Education Department.

Guided Group Tours

Intimate guided tours are available for groups of 10 or more. Group tours include orientation, all-day museum admission, and shopping discounts. See one of the many exhibitions on view, or select a themed tour from the topics below. Reservations are required at least three weeks in advance, and payment must be received a minimum of two weeks prior to the tour. Click here for the Group Tour Request Form.

Guided Group admission: $17 per adult. Senior and youth groups receive an additional discount: $14 per person for senior groups (65+) and $12 per person for youth groups (6-18). School group visits are coordinated through the museum's Education Department.

"American Painting & Sculpture"
See how American art reveals fascinating stories of the country’s history and traditions as you tour the museum’s collection of 18th-, 19th-, and 20th-century American paintings and sculpture. Stroll through the galleries with your guide and view fine examples of American art by William Merritt Chase, Frederic Remington, John Singer Sargent, and other noted artists.

"Arts of Asia"
Discover Asian art from five geographic areas: China, India, Indonesia, Japan, and Korea. Bridge the past with the present while viewing ancient works from 2400 BC to contemporary objects of the 21st century.

"The Age of Impressionism"
Explore the museum’s remarkable Beck Collection of Impressionism, Post-Impressionism, and early Modernism. Experience works of art expressed through color and light, and see the dynamic brushwork of artists including Mary Cassatt, Vincent van Gogh, and Claude Monet.

TOURS OF TICKETED EXHIBITIONS
These exhibitions require a timed-entry ticket; group tours available Tuesday-Friday at 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m.  Prices for this premium experience are: $28 per person; $24 for senior and youth groups.  Reception packages also available; call 713.639.7878 for pricing.

Group Visits to Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens

Travel back in time to colonial America. Bayou Bend, the MFAH house museum for American decorative arts, is set amidst 14 acres of richly landscaped gardens adorned by fountains and statues. Discount admission rates for groups of 24 or more.
