hang@MFAH

The Museum offers hang@MFAH (Houston Art New Generation at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston), a leadership program for local high school students, providing a unique out-of-school experience. This program empowers teens to transition from teacher-led projects to self-driven projects, bridging in-school and out-of-school learning and fostering active, thoughtful, and social engagement.

Weekly meetings with a mentor artist in the MFAH galleries explore the role of museums in the 21st century and the fusion of digital culture. By connecting passions to new skills and knowledge, hang@MFAH helps teens navigate pursuing personal interests in a collective, non-traditional educational setting. Admission is through application only.

Read the hang@MFAH manifesto for more information about the program.
