Few artists have exerted as much influence over later generations as Pablo Picasso, who is widely considered the most important artist of the 20th century. This exhibition presents new insights on a lesser-known but fascinating aspect of Picasso's formidable body of work: his recurrent use of black, white, and gray. Picasso Black and White (on view February 24–May 27) demonstrates how the artist was continuously investigating, inventing, and drawing in austere monochromatic tones throughout his career.
