Exhibition Previews for Members
One of the great benefits of being an MFAH Member is that you get to preview exhibitions first—before they open to the general public. The MFAH offers a variety of opportunities to attend Members-only preview parties and lectures in conjunction with new exhibitions throughout your year of membership.
Saturday Members Tours
Every Saturday, the museum offers interactive guided tours especially for Members. The tours use artworks in the MFAH collections as resources, and the topics change each month, with the same tour offered each Saturday during that month. Space is limited, and reservations must be secured in advance. Visit the calendar for more details.
Family Art-Making Activities
Throughout the year, Members at the Family level and above are invited to participate in art-making activites for the entire family. Materials are provided, and refreshments are served. Event invitations are sent out via e-mail. To make sure you’re invited, keep your current e-mail address on file with the Membership Department. To be added to the list, e-mail membership@mfah.org. Be sure to include your full name and membership number with your request.
Holiday Party
Each year in early December, the MFAH hosts the annual Holiday Party for Members at the Dual level and above. Enjoy live music, performances, refreshments, art-making activities for the entire family, and a visit with Santa Claus. MFAH Members receive free admission, and additional guest tickets may be purchased in advance. Professional pictures with Santa are available for an additional fee. Invitations arrive by mail with complete details.
