Photographer David Jay joins some of the women featured in the film for a panel discussion following the screening.
The heart-wrenching yet inspiring Baring It All puts a human face on the heroism of breast-cancer survivors who are in their 20s and 30s. This Emmy Award-winning documentary follows New York-based fashion photographer David Jay and four brave women who become subjects of his groundbreaking photographic series “The SCAR Project.” By photographing each woman in various states of treatment and recovery, he creates nude portraits that reveal more than scars and baldness—these women are also beautiful, challenging, and powerful. Jay’s photographs are on view in Houston at Gremillion Gallery from October 17 to 28.
The audience is invited to a reception in the Museum galleries following the film.
