Drop in anytime and create art with an MFAH teaching artist. Each week explore a different work of art and learn a new art-making technique.

Sketching in the Galleries
Sundays, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
An MFAH teaching artist guides adults and children of all drawing levels. Take your time and sketch as long as you wish!

First Sunday of Every Month
Family Activities 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Discover art through a variety of fun activities. Explore and make art, hear a story, watch a performance or Family Flick, and more! Each month offers a new opportunity to enjoy and learn about art.
Admission is free! No preregistration is necessary, and you may drop in and stay as long as you wish.

Family Tours
Sundays, 1:00 and 2:00 p.m.
Join an interactive, activity-filled tour in the galleries. These Sunday tours include a stop at the original work of art that has been selected to inspire the Creation Station studio project that day.

MFAH Family Packs
Family Packs include materials and activities that enhance your museum visit. Choose from themes such as “Buildings & Beyond” and “People & Personalities.” You may borrow a Family Pack free of charge at the membership services desks in the lobbies.
