Visit the MFAH over Labor Day Weekend
The entire MFAH campus is open regular hours this Saturday and Sunday.
On Monday, September 6, the museum is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
and Cafe Express is open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Kees van Dongen´s distinctive style of painting was influenced both by the bright colors of Fauvism and by the satirical drawings he had made for newspapers earlier in his career. After World War I, the Dutch-born artist became a fashionable portraitist for members of Europe´s café society.
