Spend the day exploring portraits, mythological scenes, devotional paintings, and exquisite still lifes that reveal the splendor of mid-19th century Spanish life. Discover a collection of art that reflects the emergence of Spain as it is known today. This teacher workshop offers educators the opportunity to see extraordinary works of art by some of the most revered painters in history from one of the most prestigious museums in the world, the Museo Nacional del Prado in Madrid. Presented in conjunction with the exhibition Portrait of Spain: Masterpieces from the Prado.
