Look, discover, and create during Spring Break week at the MFAH. Families can have fun together at Storytime programs, Sketching in the Galleries, investigating works of art, creating art in the studio, and checking out self-guide activities—such as MFAH Family Packs.
At 1 p.m., join us for Storytime with Picasso, led by an MFAH educator. Listen to the storybook Picasso and the Girl with a Ponytail by Laurence Anholt, and make connections to works of art by Picasso through looking games and interactive discussions. Meet in the Kinder Foundation Education Center, located on the lower level of the Law Building, before we head into the galleries for Storytime.
From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., visit the museum's European galleries to participate in Sketching in the Galleries, an informal activity where an MFAH teaching artist guides adults and children of all drawing levels.
Anytime the museum is open, visit the Kinder Foundation Education Center (KFEC) to check out self-guide resources that encourage creativity, spark discussions, and make works of art come alive. Families can check out MFAH Family Packs and "A Book and A Look" activities, as well as pick up a family cell-phone guide. All of these resources are free with admission.
