Homeschool Workshop “Tutankhamun: The Golden King and the Great Pharaohs”

Registration for this workshop is FULL. At this homeschool workshop, participants view spectacular Egyptian treasures from Tutankhamun: The Golden King and the Great Pharaohs. After seeing the King Tut exhibition, guests have the choice of three drop-in activities and may spend as much time as they like at each station: 

• Ancient Egypt Gallery Investigations Visit the Gallery Cart in the MFAH Egyptian art collection, where an MFAH educator has a variety of hands-on materials, search activities, and sketching materials.
• Dress Like an Egyptian Decorate an Egyptian wesekh (broad collar) using a variety of papers and drawing materials.
• Draw an Egyptian Like an Egyptian Explore how Egyptian figures were drawn, then use a grid to draw your own figures using the proportions and poses of ancient Egyptian art.

THIS WORKSHOP IS FULLEach pre-registered participant receives an audio guide. All homeschool families also receive a take-home packet filled with information and resources. The fee ($20 per person) includes workshop registration and a King Tut exhibition ticket at a special group rate.
