Picasso’s Roots: Wines of Spain

Thursday, Apr 25, 2013
6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
SOLD OUT

Beck Building
5601 Main Street Map & Directions

This event is sold out! Be sure to check out the May 2 wine tasting.

Don't miss this pair of wine seminars that complement the Picasso Black and White exhibition! Nationally recognized wine educator James King has selected six wines for each event—Spanish wines on April 25, and French wines on May 2—from regions where Pablo Picasso lived or worked. Enjoy an engaging tour of each wine's qualities and origins.

About the Speaker
Some wines may be dry, but James King of the Texas Wine School is not. As Ron Saikowski of Greater Houston Weekly describes him, “This articulate Brit makes wine fun, the way it needs to be without the pomp and complexities that turn people off.”

To allow plenty of time for parking and to accommodate late arrivals, the program starts at 6:10 p.m. Doors open five minutes early, providing your first “taste” and an opportunity to socialize. Anyone arriving late can still "catch up"! For more information, e-mail lectures@mfah.org.
