The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, in partnership with the Houston Museum of African American Culture, presents “One Night in the Kingdom of Gold,” a multi-venue event celebrating the rich history and heritage of the Ashanti Kingdom of Ghana. The event includes private tours of the MFAH Glassell Collection of African Gold and the HMAAC exhibition Kingdom of Gold: Photographs of Ghana, featuring more than 30 images by Ellen Kaplowitz that capture the enstoolment of Asantehene Otomfuo Osei Tutu II as king of the Ashanti Kingdom.
