MFAH Family Days—held on select Sundays throughout the year—bring opportunities to explore and make art, see a performance, hear a story, and much more!

Fall into fashion at the MFAH Family Day Work It! Fashion in Art on Labor Day weekend. In the studio, create a work of art you can wear made from sumptuous fabrics. Put together a chic ensemble and pose in the gallery; listen to a story about an uproarious hairdo; and sketch fashions from all over the globe. Music ensemble Two Star Symphony presents original music at 2 pm during a family-friendly gallery performance.

Families with little ones will enjoy Storybook Films at 1:30 pm, as the popular books Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed, Joseph Had a Little Overcoat, and Brave Irene come to life in colorful animation. Then at 2:30 pm, the Reel Kids film series presents the classic musical Funny Face, starring Audrey Hepburn and set in the fashion world of Paris.
