This spring, the MFAH Book Club looks at two civilizations that are worlds apart: ancient Egypt and post–World War II Japan. Both selections are concise and introspective, contemplating the roles of tradition and evolution in society, and the luster and tarnish of things past. After reading one or both, join us for a thematic and cross-cultural tour of specific works of art in the MFAH collections and exhibitions.
