In his love letters to Fanny Brawne, poet John Keats wrote of summertime: “I almost wish we were butterflies and liv'd but three summer days—three such days with you I could fill with more delight than 50 common years could ever contain.”

Sample the delights of summer on this 45-minute tour of 19th-century works ranging from views of Paris, the City of Love and Light, to the splendor of nature celebrated by American artists nearing the end of the century, and beyond.
