MFAH Visitors Center
5600 Fannin St Map & Directions

Little Art Adventures is a 30-minute program designed for children ages 3 to 5 years old and their adult companions. The experience includes a storybook circle; creative shape and color play; the creation of a simple art project; and an "In Search of . . ." activity sheet that families can use in the galleries together.

This program is held on selected Fridays throughout the year. To maintain a quality experience, the Museum limits the number of participants and requires preregistration.

Free with general admission. MFAH Members always receive free general admission.

April Topic "Color Creativity"
Inspiration comes from the installation The Light Inside by artist James Turrell. Listen to the storybook What Colour is Your World? by Bob Gill, and discover how artists look at and think about color in the world around them. For the art project, mix reds, blues, and yellows to create a rainbow of colors. Then, receive an "In Search of . . ." activity for exploring the Museum together as a family.

Family programs at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, receive generous support from Debra Anne Waite and J. Harrison Itz, Junior League of Houston, Inc. and Target.

All education programs at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, receive endowment income from funds provided by Caroline Wiess Law; the National Endowment for the Humanities; the William Randolph Hearst Foundation; the Fondren Foundation; BMC Software, Inc.; the Wallace Foundation; the Louise Jarrett Moran Bequest; the Neal Myers and Ken Black Children’s Art Fund; the Favrot Fund; and Gifts in honor of Beth Schneider.
