Monet, the quintessential Impressionist painter, covered his home in Japanese woodblock prints called ukiyo-e, or ‘pictures of the floating world.’  This lecture explores the relationship between Monet’s love of Japanese prints and the paintings for which is one of the most beloved artists of all time.

Presented in conjunction with the Beck Collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist art at the MFAH.
