About the Speaker
Leonard Lehrer is a painter and printmaker whose work has been seen internationally for several decades. He has had 49 solo exhibitions, which include shows in New York City, Philadelphia, and other U.S. cities; Germany, Austria, Spain, and Italy. Among the museums that have collected his work are the Museum of Modern Art and Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City; the National Gallery of Art, Corcoran Gallery of Art, and Library of Congress in Washington, DC; the Philadelphia Museum of Art; the Cleveland Museum of Art; the Albright-Knox Art Gallery; the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art; Butler Institute of American Art: Gangsnung Art Cultural Center, Korea; Bibliothèque Nationale de France, Paris; the Sprengel Museum of Art, Hannover, Germany; as well as numerous other public collections.
