Evenings for Educators are professional-development programs designed for pre-K to 12th-grade teachers, curriculum specialists, and administrators.
How do artists respond to diverse political and economic climates? How do they reflect on developing technologies, the horror of war, the rise of Modernism, and rapidly changing ways of life? Examine art produced before and after WWI, during the Great Depression, before and after WWII, and into the Cold War Era. As sensitive observers, artists respond to changing political and social environments. See how war, displacement, peace, and economic struggles affect the art of the 20th century, and how art in turn affects public thought.
No preregistration is required. Admission is $5. Refreshments are served. Each educator receives an illustrated teacher packet and a certificate of participation. Click here for more information.
