Create your own design on an 8mm silk scarf using natural materials from the gardens at Bayou Bend. The hands-on component of the workshop is accompanied by a talk about the textile history of the United States, with an emphasis on growing and using natural dyes. Leading the workshop is textiles expert Katie Knowles, former Rice University Jameson Fellow and a panelist for Bayou Bend’s 2011 David B. Warren Symposium.
