Experience the exhibition James Turrell: The Light Inside in the most intimate way possible—on Monday, when the Museum is closed to the public. This immersive presentation features seven light environments, created by the remarkable artist James Turrell, that invite guests to investigate the margins of perception. Preview the exhibition through images and a short video here.

Enjoy an enhanced visit when you explore the spaces in a more tranquil environment, on select Mondays. These viewings are limited to a small number of individuals with advance reservations. Monday entry begins at 10:30 a.m., with the last entry at 3:30 p.m. The rest of the Museum is not open. Guests with reservations should use the Law Building entrance on Bissonnet Street.

James Turrell: The Light Inside consists of rooms containing dramatic effects created by light. The experiences in these rooms may be disorienting to some viewers. To ensure the safety of all visitors and provide the best experience possible, each room has a limited capacity. Children are welcome but must be supervised by an adult at all times.
