"Remember the Ladies"
Following up on the success of the summer lecture series "New York, New York, Bayou Bend presents a series of talks on women’s history in the United States. Topics include a survey of the women in Bayou Bend’s portrait collection; a colonial-era history of cosmetics and self-adornment, a closer look at a rare 18th-century sampler and the artist; and a study of Ima Hogg as an art collector.

Admission
All lectures take place at Bayou Bend's Lora Jean Kilroy Visitor and Education Center. The lectures are free with admission to Bayou Bend; free for MFAH Members, staff, and volunteers.

RSVP encouraged: e-mail bayoubend@mfah.org or call 713.639.7750. Following each lecture, guests are invited to join a docent-led tour of the Bayou Bend Collection that relates to the talk. The tours are offered on a space-available basis, with sign-ups at the lectures.
