An artist’s paradise of a delightful springtime palette awaits participants, who will learn about watercolor painting techniques and how to render colorful studies of flowers and vistas. This plein-air experience at Rienzi is led by certified instructor Portia Bell of Jack Richeson & Co. Light refreshments will be served.

Portia Bell has been an artist and art educator in the Houston area for several years. With degrees in fine arts and painting/studio art from the University of Houston, she has taught art for the Katy Visual and Performing Arts, the Houston School of Art and Design, and the Watercolor Art Society–Houston. Her work has been displayed at Simply Art Gallery in Galveston, Morton Street Gallery in Richmond, and Holland Street Gallery in Bellville. She also serves on the board of the Watercolor Art Society–Houston as the education director.
