Rodeo at Rienzi, the MFAH's house museum for European decorative arts? Yes, it's true!
This morning I decided to treat myself to a store-bought coffee (it is Friday, after all). Upon entering the grocery store, I immediately noticed the plethora of shoppers donning cowboy hats and boots. My companion reminded me that today is "Go Texan Day" (forgive me for not knowing, I'm a recent transplant!). I didn't think much of it until arriving at Rienzi where some of the longtime staff members mentioned that rodeo trail riders will make their way down Kirby at some point in the afternoon. As the mini-parade unfolded on Kirby, I grabbed the camera and took a few shots to share with "y'all!"
