The Garth Clark and Mark Del Vecchio Collection

Garth Clark and Mark Del Vecchio are New York-based scholars and art dealers who assembled one of the most important collections of modern and contemporary ceramics in the world. Acquired by the MFAH in 2007, the collection comprises more than 400 objects created since 1940 that encompass a diverse range of aesthetics. The roster of international artists includes Anthony Caro, Laszlo Fekete, Lucio Fontana, Roy Lichtenstein, Richard Notkin, Claes Oldenburg, Adrian Saxe, and Beatrice Wood, to name just a few.
