Programs for Adults Check Rienzi's Calendar to keep current on the dates and times for adult programs at Rienzi. Rienzi Adult Lectures: Each fall Rienzi hosts scholarly lectures on subjects related to English and European decorative and fine arts. For more information regarding Rienzi's Fall Lecture, please call 713-639-7800. Tours Guided Individual Tours: Rienzi offers one-hour, docent-led tours Wednesday through Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Drop-in tours of the house and gardens are available Sunday, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. With advance notice, tours are available in Spanish, French, Vietnamese, and sign-language. Guided Group Tours: Guided tours are available for groups of up to 40 people by reservation on Wednesday - Friday. Groups of 20 people or fewer receive a 60-minute guided tour. For groups of 21-40 people, the tour lasts two hours and includes a slide presentation. Twilight Tours: The house and gardens at Rienzi are open to the public from 5 :00 until 8 :00 pm every Thursday in May. Twilight Tours offer an exceptional opportunity for visitors to enjoy self-guided tours and watch the sunset against the stunning backdrop of the Rienzi grounds. Rienzi docents are available to assist guests during their visits. Admission for the tours is $15 and includes wine and light hors d´oeurves. Reservations are not required for these tours. Musical Recitals: Escape from everyday life with Rienzi's recital series presented in Rienzi's intimate gallery! Throughout the year, Rienzi hosts a number of concerts performed by classically trained musicians. Each performance is followed by a reception. Reservations are necessary. Please call 713-639-7800 for more information or for a recital schedule. Speakers’ Bureau: Invite a Rienzi docent to speak at your group's next meeting! The Rienzi Speakers' Bureau provides instructive and entertaining slide lectures for groups and organizations interested in learning more about Rienzi, its collections and gardens. Presentations include highlights from Rienzi's outstanding English and European art collection, a history of Rienzi's gardens that consist of over 4.4 acres of formal gardens and natural woodlands, and highlights from Rienzi's world-renowned collection of Worcester porcelain.
